Metal Method instructor Michael Angelo Batio explains what is taught in "Speed Kills" the original speed picking technique video guitar lesson. This includes Michael's performance of "No Boundaries". For more information: http://www.metalmethod.com/lead-guitar-lesson-speed-kills.htm
A quick note from MAB: The ambient, reverbed, delayed sound that you hear on my lead guitar is not part of my sound, nor in the original version. When the original video was converted to DVD a different audio track was used and somehow this was the result. The original lead guitar sound had none of this reverbed, delayed ambience. Thanks.

Alicia keys collaborating with john mayer on her new album As I Am
LYRICS:
He broke my heart
And now it's' raining
Just to rub it in
I'm at your door
I feel so crazy about it
You'll say "I told you so"
You saw it long ago
You knew he had to go
I finally came round'
I'm back on solid ground
Can't let it get me down
It's' alright
It's' alright
It's' alright
It's' alright
It's' alright
It's' alright
Yes I was burned but I called it a lesson learned
Mistake overturned
So called it a lesson learned
My soul has returned
So I call it a lesson learned
Another lesson learned
Sometimes
Some lies
Can take a minute
To fully realize
His tears
Your eyes
Thirty seconds to apologize
You give it one more chance
Just like the time before
But he already know you'd give a hundred more
Until that night in bed
You wake up in a sweat
You're racing to the door
Can take it anymore
I was burned but I called it a lesson learned
Mistake overturned
So call it a lesson learned
My soul has returned
So I call it a lesson learned
Another lesson learned
Life perfect
Ain't perfect
If you don't know what the struggles' for
Falling down
Ain't falling down
If you don't cry when you hit the floor
It's called the past cause I'm getting past
And I ain't nothing like I was before
You ought to see me now
Yes I was burned but I called it a lesson learned
Mistake overturned
So call it a lesson learned
My soul has returned
So I call it a lesson learned
Another lesson learned
Yes I was burned but I called it a lesson learned
Mistake overturned
So call it a lesson learned
My soul has returned
So I call it a lesson learned
Another lesson learned

A short introductory theremin lesson to playing notes, executing dynamic vibratto, and dynamic volume with the theremin. Playing errors included to demonstrate how difficult it is to play the theremin well.
To get a closer look at the aereal finger technique, right click on the video, select "zoom in" set to desired zoom, and drag the image to where you can see the hand.
Instructed by Thomas Grillo on Moog Etherwave Pro theremin.
This is not a substitute for professional how to play videos, books, or in-person instruction with a professional instructor.
This video would not have been possible without the invaluable professional training videos, books, and workshops produced by Peter Pringle, Carolina Eyck, Pamelia Kurstin, and Lydia Kavina. All of their methods have been, and are still being studied by me.

This lesson is an introduction to carving.
It should help people that have not discovered the edge yet to find this feeling. The main goal at this stage is to get the student NOT to turn his feet and slide but carve.
To achieve this i am using more inside ski lead and hip counter than necessary as this makes the rolling of the knees easier. Once the student realizes that the skis turn all by themselves these things are reduced to the amount necessary.
Instead of getting the student to edge by inclination - "leaning in" i stress the fundamental basic position. As i want to teach a technique which is consistent and works on the blues in the same way as on the black runs.
The main ski fundamentals are described in detail in the 3 main lessons of the DVD. Furthermore you will find lessons on skiing the steeps, short turns and 14 additional drills:

Heya, Kris here! If one were to describe Kirk Hammett's soloing in a few sentences, I would say he uses rock cliche licks over strong metal/rock riffs (depending on which decade we are speaking about!). So let's dive into some typical rock cliche licks and investigate how we can make use of them.
I am not a fan of trying to copy other styles/guitarists to 100 %, that's why I try to "steal" as much as I can from others - but eventually I'll do my best to throw it all in the bin. What I am trying to say is: Make sure to learn the techniques you are working with p-e-r-f-e-c-t-l-y, once you master them - alter them to the point that no one will recognise them. Do that for a couple of years and you will proudly be able to announce "your own style"!
Oh, I included a little bonus clip in today's video, featuring me and my student Jimmie Nilsson jamming over this lesson's backing track. I have had him for three years, and he has been extremely serious about practicing - and now he rocks! :) Remember this could very well be YOU in a couple of years (regardless of your age). The trick is to take every little detail into consideration when practcing (cleaness, timing etc.) - if you are gifted with discipline don't throw your time a way, practice as correctly as possible!
This lesson is inpired by the Kirk Hammett style lesson at WWW.GUITARMASTERCLASS.NET . The site also features a daily free video-lick-lesson, which you might want to check out.
As soon as you get any of the licks down - spend as much time as possible jamming over the provided backings. And as always - don't hesitate to post your comments/questions below and I will do my best to answer them (especially if they relate to the lesson).
Cheers,
- Kristofer
