  1. They renamed the international airport in Rio in honor of him.
  2. What a great video -- two of the world icons performing with such elegant simplicity. And Jobim -- what a brilliant composer. He was so prolific, and yet never seems to have written just an average melody. They are all great.
  3. I have 100 concerts for Sinatra in audio and video; interested write me

  6. I dont think we will....theres no one around today that can even come close to these two giants. Its so entertaining you wish it would never end. I get deja vu when i watch it because i know ive seen this piece before...the wicker chairs, sinatra smoking, jobim with the single guitar. I just cant put my finger on the time frame...shit maybe it was 1967 when i was 7 years old..lol
  7. I watch these people and wonder if we will ever see their like again. Also, a third genius should be mentioned here and that is Nelson Riddle. How easily and exquisitely they all seemed to blend.
  8. At 3:41 to 4:21 Carlos Jobim really goes into a trance - no wonder!
  9. Tom Jobim is our Pelé when it comes to popular music. A monster, a genious. Words are just worthless to describe him.
  10. I am loving this video!
  11. Yes, and they put the song to a Bossa Nova rythym. So, now it's a Bossa Nova.
  12. The song at 1:16 "Change Partners" is actually an Irving Berlin tune - so how it qualifies as Bossa Nova is a mystery?
  13. Cosmic.
  14. BRASILLL....
