Comments to “David Bowie and Ray Davies perform Waterloo Sunset live!”

  1. I'm too young for the original version to be "my cup of tea". Obviously I'm a Def Lep fan(atic). Listen to Def Lep's version of "Search and Destroy" on the Yeah album. BTW I like Van Halen's version of "You really got me going" better than the original also. What can I say, I'm was a teenager in the 80's.
  2. I got in and backstage that night thanks to Ray, a great night. I go to the Tibet show now every year just in case Ray is there and he has been quite a few times now. He recently told me though that probably not this year???
  3. Are you insane?
  4. Ray, Bowie & Lennon ~ that's the troika that I meant to say ... I mean ... wouldn't you want to hear them three cats sing "WS"
  5. Troika? Johnny?
  6. To this troika I should like to have added Johnny Lennon
  7. I prefer the original. It's more cohesive
  8. david bowie is soo amazing
  9. Icons singing a legendary iconic song ; my hands are shaking while I type this just from the thrill of listening.
  10. Two of the greatest artists ever performing on the same stage. If Freddie Mercury were up there I think the world would explode from the sheer awesomeness.
  11. oh man. i think this is pretty much what people mean when they said "too much of a good thing."
  12. umm yeah, big B fan but the one with Damon Albarn a bit better!
  13. I like Def Leppard's cover of this song than the original version.
  14. Thank you so much for this gem. Is there a record of Davies/Bowie?
  15. fantastic!!!!
  16. AMAZING
  17. grosos de la vida
  18. I@m a massive bowie fan; that's how i found this live performance; but I think the note you're referring to is actually hit by Ray Davies?
  19. im so b0red. MSG me on MSN. id in my profile. 3
  20. omG my bf just broke up with me! i am soOOo sad! 2 get back at him i will strip on webcam
  21. Without a doubt Bowie would probably say this was one of his favorite moments singing one of his favorite songs. He was a huge Kinks and "The" Pink Floyd fan, who he also got to sing with.
  22. I'm so lazy - diese Aufnahme ist so schlecht - that Y can only LOVE it ##Z - the bad & the ugly - Waterloo Sunset - where's the snow
  23. Just seeing those two sing THAT song. Brilliant I agree with cxonchord (comment below mine). Im a bigger Kinks fan but where does Bowie find that note. spine tingling had to rewind it.
  24. Haven`t had a musical item move me, the way this does, for years. Where does Bowie find that note in the last line of each verse ? Just dreamy.
  25. friggin' awesome
