- No,you're simply believing the typical anti-english stereotype that says Englishmen are arrogant,when if you opened your eyes,you'd see that the fans know exactly how poor we are at the moment,the coaches aren't arrogant and neither are the pundits.The media are,and that's the reason Enland rugby has such a bad rep.I was in the lions tour in 05 and wanted to punch many welshmen for always going on about how much better their players are.Then wales lost by 40pts to NZ 3 months later.Eng lost by 4
- You call England 'pansies'? Have you actually seen the Welsh team these last 5 years? It was your pansy-ish dancing fairies attitude that lost you the Fiji game at the last world cup. Scotland don't have a hope of being arrogant because they're just shit at rugby. They'd look pretty stupid being arrogant coming 5th/6th in the six nations for years and never achieving anything on the world stage. Success breeds confidence/arrogance. Look at NZ all the time, England in 2003, Wales in 2005 and now.

- I'm not talking about the players. I'm talking about the fans, the coaches and the pundits more than anyone. Just the entity that is the England rugby team. The fact that you use the British anthem as your anthem just shows how arrogant England are. I'm not anti-England in any sense of the word. - Actually it's the Welsh media that keep calling every Welsh loss: "Brave Wales lose to SA, or NZ". The way your players and management have been going on these past few days, you would think Wales had won a world cup! Things like Wales are "destined to win" against Aus, which I think it was Howley who recently said. Arrogant fucks. You'll not see anything like that among the English team or coaches.
- Because we WERE World champions, whether you like it or not. They'll be calling SA the same in 2011. And yes,you listen to EVERY England player for years and you'll see not a bit of arrogance,particularly in 2007.I was at the MS for the SA game, and the atmosphere was shite, dull and flat. - So now you're backtracking and saying that it's the MEDIA that's arrogant, not the England team.Barnes & Jones picking their Lions XV? They may have had a fair few Englishmen after the PI game,but check all the lions squads online now,1 maybe 2 Englishmen at the most, and rightly so for the moment at least.Get over yourself about the rose covered sky studio.They use that for England games, and the market is 10 times bigger than that of Wales anyway.Guscott has been hyping the Welsh up for weeks.
- NZ deserved to win by far but getting 4 players sin binned IS commiting suicide.Wales were terrible in 03, 6N wooden spooners again,thrashed by Eng's 2nd XV in Cardiff.Eng were the best team in the world between 00 and 03;but we were going downhill by the time the WC arrived.Luckily we just had enough left to win it.But we played fantastic rugby between 00 & 03.Who cares if Wales scored more tries,it's about knowing how to win a test match,and wales were clueless with their "Welsh way" bollocks.
- The "plucky" Welsh, as the English media call them, are anything but arrogant so don't start there. When you are being interviewed at the Millenium Stadium (which by the way OWNS the 'atmosphere' at twickers) you are going to say things that get the crowd to cheer. This whole "humble" England thing is rubbish. Even in 2007 when you hadn't won anything in 4years the English pundits were saying things like "And it's WORLD CHAMPIONS ENGLAND v Wales."
- It's an exaggeration, mate. You should know if you are an England rugby team. "We lost 32-6 but it was more because England threw the game away themselves." Yes, you did have a very strong team in 2003 but that's what's sickening. Take the 2003 rugby world cup. Wales scored more tries than England and played some of the best rugby I've ever watched. But they lost, why? Cause Jonny Wilkinson kicked their way to victory. The fact that England are no longer the top dog is great for rugby.
- The whole English media are ridiculously arrogant. You just need to read Stuart Barnes or Stephen Jones in the Times picking their "Lions XV" this very month. How about Sky Sports with their rose covered studio? It makes the neutral sick. Even on the BBC you have Jeremy Guscott taking the moral high ground on foreign affairs. It's sickening and it's happened for years. In whatever sport the rest of the world are forced to remember England's "Heroic Underdog World Cup Victories."
- And by the way, one last thing... you want arrogance? Have you ever seen Ryan Jones, Gavin Henson, Shane Williams or Tom Shanklin in a post match interview? They're the dictionary definition of the word arrogance. The Welsh win one single game against a terrible Aussie side at home, by 3 points, and suddenly it's like they've won a world cup.
- Welsh rugby have lost games to Canada, Samoa, Fiji and Italy. Now that's embarrassing for a supposed rugby mad nation. England have won more grand slams than Wales, and have been in 3 world cup finals out of 6. Have wales ever made the semis? Not since 87 right? haha. Of course England aren't the best at the moment, we're nowhere near,but thats because we're rebuilding and starting out like we did in 1998,with lots of fresh talented faces, who if all goes well should develop into a winning team.
- You think England won a 'flukey' world cup? Now I know you know FUCK ALL about rugby. England were the best team in the world between 2001 and 2003, of that there's no doubt.They beat the three southern hemisphere teams 12 times in a row,had a Six Nations grand slam,and ended up as World Champions at the end of it all.They played extremely exciting rugby between 2000 and 2002 and had something like 24 wins in 25 games. But I'm not sure why you bothered bringing up 2003 anyway,I didn't mention it
- You and your mates clearly no fuck all. Tell me how the England team think they're better than the rest of the UK at sport? Actual examples of them showing that they think that please, rather than the stereotypical view of supposed arrogant England. They've won nothing since 2003? So what? Getting to three world cup finals out of 6 ain't bad. Yup, we've been mostly poor since 2003, not arguing against that. But so have Scotland, Ireland and Wales at various points in the last 5 years as well.
- There's a difference. New Zealand are a good rugby team. The way some have acted to the Welsh haka response is just ridiculous. So in some ways you are right. But they have an excuse. They are the best year in, year out. England aren't and never have been.
- Get off it mate, the English rugby team has been arrogant for years. They think they are somehow superior to the rest of the UK at sport. They've won nothing since 2003. In fact it's been like that for years. I know Englishmen that agree. Even in the 70s when Wales were the dominant side in World Rugby, English pundits and fans were undermining it saying that it was "only rugby".
