    The treatment the piece is given here is simply far beyond anything a pianist is capable of (assuming you're referring to the piano version). The piano is a great instrument but in the end, we're just a speck compared to the orchestra and soloist....

    Picky, picky! Classical is the genre, Romantic is the era. We have different kind of blues and medal do we not? And if we are getting specific now, it is of the Late Romantic Era. Almost considered Modern actually since this piece (which is one of 8) was composed in 1894. When I first played it I thought it was very childish. But who better to prove me wrong then Itzhak Perlman and Yo-Yo Ma?
