    Well, im not sure but i kno he does use texas style pickups. But one thing that will help sound like him is using extremly heavy strings. Also if possible i heard that he once used bass frets on a guitar to get a heavy blues sound

    You didn't like Van Halen at all? I understand disdain for all of the copy cats that followed but I think VH has their proper place in history as inovators. Yeah they morphed into pop but every body that has reasonable success ends up beaing pop. Heck, even Metallica has their "pop" following now.
