- very intresting use of thumb in first position at the beginning never saw that, i like his sound a lot
- oh my god
- dude...no, that version of dvorak is obnoxious in my opinion. he vibrates every single note with with a machine gun vibrato! thats not the style of the piece, there's many a time for slow romantic vibrato. with his version, it sounds like theres a bee buzzing around the hall throughout the whole concerto. your preference, of course, is what u here as best.
- If you want and advise....go and listen Daniil Shafran version of the Dvorak cello concerto....after that, lets see if you still prefer the Rostropovich version...

- One of the best peices brought into this world. Great proformance. Of course, I prefer the Rostropovich version, but this is a great concert as well. I am studying this peice, and come to realize that while great preformers such as this guy and Rostropovich make it look so easy, it takes enourmous amounts of virtuosity and skill to master and preform a work like this. Awesome & powerful. Truly a masterpeice.
- Wooow!One of the best live Dvorak ever heard!Amazing fingering!!Miklos Perenyi is a legend!do you agree,guys?.......:)
- The cello is one of the best cello's i ever heard. Amazing preformance
- yeah I agree. Overall this is a wonderful performance. Very exciting and beautiful, but I keep coming back to the london symph vid with Rostropovich. The tempos and the rubato, and just the music and feel are really incredible. All the different parts are allowed to show their unique color.
- Very funny.........they all just play so you can tell things like these No tenés nada más que hacer que armar un "ranking"? vos debés ser de los insoportables que resoplan después de los conciertos -pero que no tocan ni el timbre

- Beautiful! Egyszerűen zseniális! :) Sokszor hallottam már, mindenféle előadótól, de egyik sem hasonlítható hozzá..
- FANTASTIC! AMAZING! CSODÁLATOS!
- ranking?
- Insane performance. Perenyi is one of the best.
- GAH!! i love how his cello is so strong :D
- My ranking for all youtube version: 1) Rostropovich (LONDON PH) 3"01 till 3"19 2) Cecilia Palma (Bolivar) 2"58 till 3"16 3)Perenyi (Swiss Italian) 2"45 till 2"59 4)New York Phil. 3"38 till 3"57 (horrible oboe) 5) Gorazd Strlič 3"18 till 3"35

- As a clarinetist I am fan of the solo passage 2"45 till 2"59. Here well played but too fast... 3 to 4 seconds less than 4 others version on youtube... Maestro Schneider is reponsible for this accelerando... pity
- It sounds like the cello is fighting hard to conquer the orchestra.. The orchestra is like so loud? And at the front part where the orchestra is playing, the timing is weird..
- Perenyi is the god...for me. he is a good cellist, and a fantastic person too! thx for sharing
- True.
- cool!!! Is this Kevin Spacey??? lol
