  11. i'm trying so hard but I can't tell if I am doing it right I get the cast on and I think the first row, but them it seems kinda upside down and the 2nd row just isn't happening. ahh. I can crochet but I figured I'd learn how to knit too, but it's hard so far

  22. Well, casting on is just how to get the knitting started and then you use different stitches (knit, purl, etc) to make up a design. But there are many methods to cast on - this video just demonstrates one of those methods.
  23. Have you tried casting on a bit looser? Or trying another cast-on method? I have another video showing the knitted cast-on, perhaps that will help. I can't really say what it is for sure without seeing it, though.
