- They are from Busby Berkeley's musicals from the 1930's.
- It makes me cry... Beautiful video!
- Really beautifully made! Wonderful video.
- GREAT work! Nice vid/editing.
- What are these clips from? :D
- I should have forgotten you long ago But you're in every song I know Whining and pining is wrong and so On and so forth, of course of course, But no, you can't have a divorce I haven't seen you in ages But it's not as bleak as it seems We still dance on whirling stages In my Busby Berkeley dreams The tears have stained all the pages Of my True Romance magazines We still dance in my outrageously beautiful Busby Berkeley dreams
- And now you want to leave me for good I refuse to believe you could You forget we're not made of wood Well darling you may do your worst Because you'll have to kill me first Do you think it's dangerous To have Busby Berkeley dreams?
- A splendid video for a lovely song. I first came across the band's music when Scottish Dance Theatre performed a piece to Bunny rabbits - the brilliant white rabbit in the piece still tickles my memory banks!
- One of the saddest songs ive ever heard...
- Beautifully done video for an ingenious and wistful song that always reminds me a little of heartaches...
- Thank you for making this video. I have watched and listened to it so many times. It brings a smile to my face every time.
- so nostalgic and catchy
- Excellent!
- Love is but a thin visage covering up codependency issues and loneliness. The heart (though love is a facet of the brain, and the heart is the metaphor) is an evil appliance. But a neccesary evil. Without heartbreak, art would be but an embryo still. Im gonna call up the one I love tonight.
- A brilliant song - nothing more, nothing less.
- Oh my gosh...at 2:41!!!!! That's Ginger Rogers!!!
- well done!
- 69 Love Songs is some of my favorite music right now, but I had never heard of Busby Berkeley before. The song was so nostalgic and catchy, I found myself singing it and had asked a videographer friend of mine what it meant. Thanks for making the video explanation. Seeing all that beautiful choreography/cinematography does bring back a whiff of the lost romanticism.
- For some reason, it reminds me of my boyfriend before we started dating. He was with this really horrible girl and she dumped him for no reason at all. He was devastated then Along Came Beth, as it were :)
- My favorite from these guys =) Truly a wonderful song. My friend Johnny introduced me to this band and it reminds me of him and an enchanted time we once shared.
- Thank you
- exquisite, a fitting tribute to both busby and stephen, I absolutely LOVED THIS, thank you so much whoever made this. look at all the glorious splendor and forgotten romanticism.
- purely wonderful. thank you
- Beautiful! Busby Berkley Dreams.
- An incredibly beautiful song by the Magnetic Fields set to an incredibly beautiful montage. The 1930s comes alive in all its glory. A true celebration of when the beauty queen reigned supreme. Motion pictures in all their Art Deco splendor held the masses captive. This video captures it all.
