- gone teddy, love his music
- Teddy certainly has a good set of pipes and say what you may about him but this dude can sing. Before his accident he used to sing in a style similar to the great Marvin Junior of The Dells but not a forceful as Marvin and just a little bit smoother than Marvin. I am not saying that he's a better singer than Marvin or that Marvin is better than him, am simply saying that their styles are kinda similar.
- i love teddy...
- damn man, lol your right on the money with that!!! Teddy P. was one of the best who did it....lol, kinda looks like Lauren Fishburne in this one...
- This dude was a phenom... absolutely incredible... You really can't compare him and marvin as they were to totally different singers. Teddy demanded the lovin... and marvin made the women want to give it to him...
- teddy is iller than marvin..sorry
- Really love this song ! also like it by Regina Belle
- Can you believe he has a son, Teddy Jr? He didn't follow his dad in the music industry.
- No doubt TKO is a killer tune, but the better version in my opinion is from Womack and Womack. It's slightly slower and the folks sound a shade more downtrodden which adds to the dramati-emotional effect.
- i wasnt even born when this came out and still there is nothing better. this is a timeless song and sometimes i feel like an old man in a young mans body because i enjoy this song so much.
- WHATS UP GRL....
- love da song it fitsz me now
- è simplesmente fantástico!!!
- Sigma Sound Studios, Gamble and Huff... Teddy Bear...Philly boy makin' em wet..
- Teddy has the sweetest R&B voice. Smooth Teddy. We don't have a teddy in todsy's music world.
- Hear, hear. No-one around now who will remotely touch such greats as teddy, al green and all those talents of years gone by. To much haters around nowadays. Bring back the love is what I say.
- This is Pure R&B, straight with no chaser! Can we please campaign to bring back music with meaning that the everyday Jane and Joe can relate to?
- my shit
- was 11 whn he dropped this and to this day it's still the shit... fix you whn sistaz brk ur shit.
- kool well I produce, orchestrate and educate and I see the etiology. Bollocks? Okay? You take care. Insults are usually bolstered by sound arguments? I was backing you up and thought you had a great point and you insult me? Deep? you do not have to respond...
- sorry m8, just checked out your suggestions and they are bollocks, how can that "music" be compared to T.P. ?
- beat machines, crack cocaine, clear channel, computers and music programs being cut back in inner city neighborhoods?! but we still got some cats like James Poyser, Rodney Jerkins and even the Neptunes keep it musical sometimes.
- wow...what happened to this kinda music, miss it man, pure fuckin' music...
- You're making a good point here, Phurdrick. I love Teddy P., Marvin, Barry White, etc., all from the 70's and their great romantic/ sexy music. The only thing I can think of that comes close to it now might be "Making Love in the Club", which, of course, isn't in the same league (IMHO).
- No singer today can come even remotely close to Teddy and the previous eras' singers, but what changed? If it's true that art reflects culture, then who's to blame T-Pain, R. Kelly, etc. for singing nasty lyrics about sex versus the great ARTISTS of generations before who sang about true heartfelt love? We all wish music was good like this, does today's kids think about love and relationships like we did? 50 Cent says, "I'm into having sex, not making love." Just my two cents.~Phurdrick
