- power and so old! this is a band that do it always! fkn brill, i got this single over 20 yrs ago and its still ace
- U2 what else?
- U2 forever!
- I cant believe they were only like 23, 24 when they made this. Already on there 4th album, wow
- I can relate! I too am 37 and have been a BIG U2 fan for as long as they have been around. I've seen them many times and the feeling one gets seeing U2 live is second to none. Sooo wanted to see Pearl Jam and U2 in Hawaii. You don't get any better than U-Jam :) It warms my heart knowing that so many others, like yourself, seem to feel their music like I do. :)
- You forgot the albums "Wide Awake In America" and "Pop" and not to mention their Best of Compilation albums that featured some excellent B-sides that were actually better than stuff that made it on to the official albums!
- Great intro! Love it!
- eire love you
- You are so right! I've seen them 1993, 1997 (both Wembley Stadium) and 2005 (Chicago); they are spellbinding! Would never miss a chance to see them again. And this song; wow! Sheer poetry. And that string arrangement is just haunting.
- They look so young in this video, I've loved them for a long time...I can't wait to hear their new album...
- I'm 37 and remember them from when I was 14 and so on. When I was 19 I had the chance to see them, and I didn't. I regretted it ever since. I vowed to see them whereEVER it was. I flew from Illinois to Hawaii. Pearl Jam opened... I never understood people fainting, crying etc over a group...until I saw them. Always listening to them during troubled times I stood there in tears to songs not believing that I was actually part of it now. It is an experience that you must give yourself!!
- i agree , well said mate, im 40 also :o)
- you mean couldn't take obviously ? :o)
- this has always been my fav u2 song, such a magical, emotive, hypnotising sound, they have so many truly great songs, but this classic is just so amazingly lovely !!!!!!
- Great song. Yet FM radio insists on never playing it and playing Pride (In The Name Of Love) to death. This is why I went to Satellite Radio.
- ??????????????????????????
- lol
- It amazes me that anyone could take something from U2. There wide variety of music in different eras spanning 30 years can touch everybody in someway. You dont have to be a huge fan of U2 and still like atleast 5 songs of theirs.
- cool song! I heard it the other day on the radio and looked it up today. I had the unforgettable fire release years ago I bought it after hearing a song called wire that was featured on an episode of miami vice. I went out and bought the tape.
- great great song.
- What's the cityscape? Minneapolis?
- Yes it is and God bless them all!
- 3:07...
- This is my favorite U2 song of them all, an they have a LOT of great ones. This album did it for me as a fan--yes, they had a rather large following previous to this one, but this one did it for me.
- New years day is 20 times better!
