- I love this song..went to see Desmond Dekker at the Top Rank in Birmingham many many years ago..I was madly in love with him and his songs.
- I met Desmond Dekker in 1990 around the time of those 'Vitalite' adverts, had a spliff with him, sunday dinner and did the soundcheck, then when he did the gig it was awesome right uptil the point where he did 'isrealites' and he went oooooh ooooh pointed the mic at the audience and they all sang 'vitalite' :( I felt gutted for him, but I'm sure he took it in good faith

- I had the pleasure to meet Des, as we, (Ska Fever)supported him back in 1991, at The warehouse - Derby. He was so COOL! I knew his music, but not his face, and in the dressing rooms, I said "who's Desmond Dekker then, - he just smiled and said "wait and see!
- this crowd sucks!!! he was a god!!

- I am so glad to have seen him at High Wycombe Town Hall circa 1969/70 and he's such a great loss.
- I'm sorry...I can't had the pleasure of see this man live..I discovered him too late...R.I.P
- love this man
- That's true, i find myself judging people all the time. Just to compare myself with something. And it's true that's human nature. But it's also true that the modern man can say to himself, that it is okay to judge, but not to act. And your right, the crowd should be going wild.
- Maybe you're right, but when I hear Desmond Dekker, I picture a live scene where people are dancing, drinking, and just going wild. Seeing people just sitting down and swaying back and forth is lame. I still think this crowd sucks. We are all judgmental. Myself especially. I'm not sure how I'd get through my day without finding things to dislike. Simple human behavior.
