L'émotion de cette Marseillaise me rappelle celle de la Grande Illusion, avec les Anglais et les Russes dans le camp de prisonniers. J'ai vu des Américains pleurer en la voyant

   I've always loved La Marseilles anthem but this version from Casablance is the best. Without doubt, the best scene from one of the finest films EVER. I cannot watch this rendition of La Marseilles without tears.

    oh, i LOVE this scene! I have watched this film so many times, but when this scene comes it *always* brings tears to my eyes - it's so compelling. Becuase this movie is not about nationalism, it's about love and freedom and humanity.

    Swooze comments about the illegal gambling scene is very right, its one of my favourite scenes in a flim so well made and directed, its near flawless in all respects.
